Father Pierce

We just learned that Father Donald B. Pierce, who married us in 2004 (and Jenny and Christopher the year before), passed away this week.  We will miss him.

Isaiah is growing by the day.  We took him in for a weigh-in, and he's over 10 lbs, 1 oz.  We expect him to be over 20 when he has his next check-up in two weeks.

An unnamed party...

...has taken to singing a certain song when the young man is working something that will lead to a diaper change.  I'm not quite sure why, but it seems to fit.

Memorial Day

Today we spent the morning walking through the Denver Botanic Gardens. The temperature was absolutely perfect. It wasn't crowded. Everything appeared to be in bloom. Loved it.

Saturday in Denver (Waiting for Baby)

We went to the zoo today. I love the zoo. I fit in well at the zoo. That's a little sad, but mostly its just funny. And happy. People love looking at my belly.

But I loved looking at the animals while taking frequent breaks to sit on the zoo benches and watch all the cute kids walking by.




After the zoo we had an excellent brunch at Stella in the Highlands, followed by a trip to buy tomatoes and herbs to plant. Micah makes an excellent farmer. Or at least an excellent potter.

Baby Progress Update

My last in-office work day was last Friday. This week I am working from home, mostly because sitting for 9 hours in my office chair is just too uncomfortable.

At my last appointment, my doctor told me that she thinks Baby Boy Schwalb is going to weigh between 8 and 9 pounds at birth. She guesses he is over 7 lbs already.

Though I didn't know it, there was a reporter from the Fort Morgan Times in the room when I spoke at a local Rotary luncheon.  It's a good thing "Mr. Schaub" (who is not the general counsel of Viaero) didn't give them anything terribly offensive to quote in this article.

Revival

We have decided to attempt a revival of the old Schwalbblog.

Here is what I look like these days. Oh wait, I'm actually larger now - that was me at 30 weeks. I'm 32 + now....

Today we are fixing up the nursery, going swimming at the JCC, and enjoying the sunny weather.
